Important Notes for Stories Fables & Tales
Last updated: September 1, 2026
What this page is: The legal terms for this app are Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. This page is not a second contract — it is the handful of things that agreement does not mention because they are specific to this app, written plainly so you do not have to go looking.
One Story a Night Is Free
A different story unlocks each day, free, with no subscription and no card. It changes at midnight in your device's time zone. A story that somebody shares with you also opens in full, once, whether or not you subscribe.
We intend to keep that free story there every day. If it ever changes, the app will say so first.
What a Subscription Is
| Option | How it behaves |
|---|---|
| Yearly | Starts with a fourteen-day free trial, then renews every year until cancelled. |
| Monthly | Renews every month until cancelled. No trial. |
| Lifetime | One payment. Never renews, cannot lapse, and includes stories added later. |
Prices are shown in the app in your own currency before you buy anything. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours of that point.
Cancelling is done through Apple, not through us: Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your device, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep access until the period you have paid for runs out. Cancel a trial before it ends and you are not charged.
Refunds are Apple's too, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We never see your payment details and cannot issue a refund ourselves.
All three options are Family Sharing enabled. On a new device, tap Restore on the subscription screen while signed in with the same Apple Account.
There Is No Account, and That Has a Cost
No email, no password, nothing to sign up for. Your reading, your shelf, your highlights and your settings live on your device — which means that if you change or reset your device, your reading history, saved stories and highlighted passages do not follow you. Purchases do, because Apple records those against your Apple Account.
If a passage matters to you, share it to yourself — a note, a message, an email. That is the only copy that outlives the phone.
That is a deliberate trade: nobody has to hand over an email address to read a bedtime story. What the app does keep, and how to have it deleted, is in the Privacy Policy.
The Stories Are Ours
Every story was written for this collection and remains the property of Revnics, LLC. Please read them, read them aloud to your family, a classroom or a library group, and quote from them with attribution.
Please do not republish them, sell them, distribute recordings of them, or use them as training data for machine-learning systems.
Ratings
Ratings are anonymous, and are what the community averages and the "highly rated" list are made of. We may set aside ratings that look automated or aimed at distorting the figures.
It Is Not a Sleep Treatment
The app is built for winding down at the end of the day, but it is not a medical device and not treatment for anything. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent insomnia or any other condition. If sleep is a persistent problem, please speak to a doctor.
